crazy days

Yesterday I had two birthday parties at my house...a 6 year old party and a 76 year old party.
Mark's party turned out great. I had jet packs for all the kids made out of soda bottles and duck tape. I had a rocket cake and kids wore space suits/costumes. We had a lot of fun with games and a pinata. I am so happy Mark had a wonderful day.
The next party was for my dad. I invited my brother and sister to join us. We had a great day of ribs, chicken and sides, along with family fun.
Of course, a birthday comes around and a kid gets sick. Luke had a fever starting on Thursday and ended yesterday. I kept him in the office pretty much the entire day because I didn't want anyone else to get sick. Friday he woke up and could barely walk. I was scared but then later realized that it was probably the fever that was causing it. Although we are waiting for a test to come back from the doc to find out what was going on. And then of course, Mark complains of a tummy ache today.

I just want to add, I am getting more and more surprised at how rude our society is. First I have the lady in See's candy giving candy to my kids to "shut them up," then I have a 10 year old in the doc's office asking me to tell my baby to stop crying and then I have 3 kids today lying to me and throwing rocks at my cat. What is this world turning into.
