taken a turn

We have taken a turn today. Not only does Rebecca have her third cold and strep throat but today she went to Rob without any hesitation and never cried once while Mommy was busy doing some house work and taking a shower. I am so proud of her. Today marks 6 weeks of having Rebecca. Now people can hold her and I can officially leave her with others. (not likely to happen anytime soon)
Another thing about today, we made the appointment to sign our petition for adoption. Once this happens, we wait in line for an appointment infront of the judge and she officially is ours.
Thinking about our trip to Korea. My mom went with me as Rob stayed here with the boys. We were able to spend two days seeing Seoul. One day we went on a bus ride of the city. We met some great people and was able to see most of Seoul. Did you know that the President of Korea lives in a Blue House (just like the White House, but with blue tiles on the roof). We also ate some great food and did some great shopping. The second day we walked around the neighborhood to see where the orphanage was and did some more shopping. Isn't it funny that when you are so close to something, the taxi driver always takes the longer route to get more money? We could have walked but always had so much to carry to the orphanage.
One more thing to write about our trip. There were six hundred children waiting for homes while we were there. We went to a room where there were sick children and another room of well children, totaling in 70 babies. So sad to see. I wanted to bring them all home. You couldn't hold the sick kids but you could hold the well ones. Three babies to a crib with a lot of swings being used as well. So sad to see. I know it is the same in the US and most other places, too many kids and not enough families to take them.
More tomorrow.
